Da nang city and its famous Dragon Bridge Fire Show

This article will introduce to you to Da nang city and the famous bridge with its special fire show.

Da Nang city – the home of famous Bridges

The coastal city of Danang in Central Vietnam has been one of the most visited cities of the country since the My Khe Beach was featured in Forbes magazine after the Vietnam Civil War. Due to the flock of international tourists wanting to relax and enjoy the pristine white beach of Danang, the city’s economic standing improved and became the third-largest city of Vietnam. As the city progresses, long and sturdy bridges and high rise buildings were built.

Dragon Bridge

If you want to spice up your Vietnam trip, Danang would be a great place to visit. Danang never fails to amaze its visitors with its unique and mind-blowing architectural design structures like buildings and bridges. Danang has 7 must-see bridges like the Dragon Bridge, the only bridge has fire show, the Han River Bridge which is the only swing bridge in Vietnam that swings 90 degrees at 11 in the evening every Saturday and Sunday. The midsection of the bridge rotates every day at 1:00 AM to make way for ships passing by. Another interesting bridge in Danang is the Tran Thi Ly Bridge which is the oldest bridge crossing the Han River and designed to look like a sail. This was built during the French colonial period in 1950. While the Thuan Phuoc Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam, 1.8 kilometers long to be exact. The bridge at the end of Han River and links Danang with Son Tra Peninsula has the best city view during sunset.

If you can’t get enough of Danang bridges, visit the famous Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills which became viral after its opening to the public last June 2018. The Golden Bridge has otherworldly architectural style, 2 giant hands lifting a golden footbridge to the sky at the top of the mountain in Danang. Danang bridges prove that the city deserves all the love from its domestic and foreign visitors.

Dragon Bridge with its Fire show – an indispensable symbol of Da Nang city

One of the bridges is the massive golden Dragon Bridge in the middle of the city over the famous Han River that breathes fire and water. Witness the jaw-dropping Dragon Bridge Show in Danang every weekend.

Dragon Bridge Fire Show

Dragon Bridge construction started on 19 July 2009 and was completed on October 26, 2012 but was only opened to traffic on March 29, 2013 during the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Danang City. The beautiful golden dragon-like bridge is already eye-catching but it has more than just being a bridge over the Han River. Dragon Bridge is one of the longest bridges of Vietnam with 666m long and 37.5m wide. Plus, the Dragon Bridge does spit water and breathes fire every Saturday and Sunday.

This Dragon Bridge Fire Show attracts a lot of tourists watching and is considered one of the things that made Da nang become a special city for tourism in Vietnam. It is really an indispensable symbol of Da Nang city.
