3 Wonderful Mountains in Central Vietnam
From the small town of Hoi An, you can visit hidden beauty of Central Vietnam by going to these 3 wonderful mountains.
Marble Mountains – the usual destination of travelers who wants to see and learn Vietnamese religious beliefs. Hoi An to Marble Mountains is around 18 km which is just 30 minute drive. Normally, backpackers go from Hoi An to Marble Mountains by motorbikes or private car. Thuy Son or Water Mountain is the largest mountain among these Marble Mountains. Challenge yourself climbing stone carved stairs and see for yourself why this place is one of the top destinations in Da Nang. It has several pagodas, shrines inside numerous caves and upon reaching the summit you will be rewarded by a magnificent panoramic view of Da Nang.

Ba Na Hills –another tourist destination in Da Nang where you can appreciate the panoramic view of wonders of Da Nang. This is famous for one distinct feature – for the place goes through 4 seasons in a day; spring in the morning, summer by noon, afternoon will be fall and winter by night. Get on a cable car that will let you see the Ba Na forest while you are on way to reach the big castle at the top of the mountain. Regardless of age, young to adults, will be mesmerized by the beauty of the place. Several famous hotels and restaurants are also at the top of the mountain to serve tourists while they stay in this wonderful place.

Bach Ma Mountains – located in Central Vietnam between two famous cities, Hue and Danang. This mountain was then a French Hill Station during French occupation of Vietnam. Hai Van Pass and Bach Ma National Park are both popular destination in this mountain. Ruins of hotels and villas built by French made the mountain a little more interesting.

In the whirling roads of Hai Van Pass, adrenaline junkies drive their motorbikes from Hoi An to Hue and experience the excitement it brings. At the Hai Van Pass viewpoint, you’ll see Hue’s beautiful Lang Co beach and magnificent city of Da Nang and the famous My Khe Beach.
Few more minutes of driving towards the city of Hue and you’ll reach Bach Ma National Park where you can hike and encamp with Bach Ma National Park Management’s permission. Motorbikes and bicycles are not allowed in this area though. You’ll have to leave your bike and motorbike to get to the top. The hike may be long but the panoramic of the province of Hue will take all the tiredness away. You can enjoy the refreshing water of natural pools and waterfalls of the mountain to relieve your muscles before continuing the trek. This is a protected area so wild animals are seen in this mountain too. Do not get shocked if you see snakes crawling or hanging on a branch of tree. You’ll guide will definitely try to prevent you from getting harm.
You can visit all these wonderful mountains within 2 days. You can either rent a motorbike and do it yourself, join a group or rent a private car for your convenience.
