Unfortunately there is no train station in Hoi An even though the small town has many visitors every year. The neighboring city of Da Nang which is about an hour away is preferred to be the train stop for most of the travelers. Travelers can take taxi, motorbike taxi, bus or private car for going to Hoi An once they arrive in the Da Nang Train Station.

Note: Hanoi Train Station has two gates. For South-bound trains, use gate located at 120 Le Duan street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. The other is for North-bound trains only. Both of stations have the waiting hall for passengers. While Da Nang Train Station is among the three largest train stations of Vietnam welcoming daily trains from the North to the South and vice versa that stop for time enough to collect relatively huge number of passengers in the city.
