Buses going to Hue

Bus is one of the usual transportation for both locals and foreigners. This is due to the fact that it is the cheapest of all the means of transportation within Vietnam. Buses go to almost every city and pass by most of the tourist destinations.

There is no direct bus from Ho Chi Minh City going to Hue City. Buses need to stop in Nha Trang and Hoi An for a little rest. Passengers who are in a hurry to get to Hue may transfer and take the next departing bus of the same bus company. If the bus is missed, it is possible to take another bus the next day but needs to inform the bus company beforehand for them to check availability. Note that it is allowed to stay in one city for a couple of days with the open bus ticket, passengers are not supposed to be charged for additional fees if they decide to stay in the same city for a couple of days.
